Hello shoppers!
Happy Spring — or if you’re like me, happy “season that means the oppressive heat is right around the corner and you’re already miserable.” Since the last two newsletters (loosely) fit a theme, this week we’re doing one of those mishmashes where I just kinda throw a bunch of stuff at you that I’ve purchased recently and loved. Today’s recipe will be a nice summer pasta that I’ve been perfecting in time for the warmer weather and our TV rec du jour will in fact be a book because it’s my newsletter and I make the rules! And also I haven’t been watching that much TV lately, but I digress. Anyway, let’s get to the reason you’re all here — all the best things you should be buying right now
Ric3 Sweatshirt: The one TV show I have been watching is Drive to Survive on Netflix and like anyone with a pulse and eyes, I want to ride Daniel Ricciardo’s nose like a mechanical bull. So naturally I had to buy some merch. I picked this simple navy sweatshirt and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and comfort of it — it’s a nice weight; sturdy without feeling stiff, and soft without having that like, loose mushy feeling that sweats sometimes have.
Kevin Aucoin Face & Body Glass: I’ve seen this for a bagillion years and I’ve always beens super intrgued by it. I live and die by the Aucoin liners so I finally pulled the trigger on this highliter about a month ago and my only regret is not doing so sooner. I use it as a base under foundation for a nice ~lit from within~ look, as eye gloss, as highlighter — and it works great for each purpose. It has a slight tackiness to it that ensures it stays in place all day and layers well with other makeup, but it doesn’t feel heavy or uncomfortable on the skin at all. I already have two other colors in the cart!
Anthropologie Room Screen: I bought this because I have an exercise bike in my office and it’s visible on zoom calls; this screen covers it perfectly. It’s just large enough to work as a great divider in the room but not so large that it feels out of place. The quality is great, and most importantly the aesthetic is really beautiful — very Tennessee Williams, if you will. I threw a couple silk scarves over it for maximum chic effect.
