Taking a little break from gift guides (you should all be done with your shopping by now anyway!) to talk about one of my favorite things in the world: knitwear. Specifically knitwear that doesn’t have wool, cashmere, alpaca, angora — you get the picture. I break out in hives if I wear any of the above which is truly heartbreaking considering how much I love knitwear. Cardigans, crewnecks, turtlenecks — there is space for all of them in my wardrobe; my favorite genre of television — Nordic Noir — is even known for having the best knitwear costuming in tv and film. So it’s paramount that I scour the internet and the world for the best knitwear for the natural fiber challenged folks like myself.

I have searched for years for a dupe for that cardigan and last month my mom finally cracked the code; she suggested I look in the men’s department of my favorite stores. One of the my go to’s for knitwear is Abercrombie (you’ll see it multiple times here) so I popped over to their menswear department and found this gray option and this cable knit, both Loretta Castorini herself would approve of.
