Hi shoppers!
Part ~deux~ of my summer essentials series is here and today we’re tackling beauty and skincare. I typically opt for lighter weight products in the summer and as a naturally very fair skinned girl, I do like to mix it up with some products that enhance my skin in a glowy-tanned way without being too heavy handed about it. So let’s breakdown my day to day basics.
Tower28 SOS Spray: I incorporated this into my skincare routine when my eczema was flaring up this winter and it’s been a godsend sunburns, heat rash, and just general sweaty-ness.
Pipette Sunscreen: I used to swear by the Biossance sunscreen so when it was discontinued I looked for something with similar ingredients and came across this product with Pipette which is nearly identical. It’s SPF50 and it has absolutely no scent.
Vacation Inc. Orange Gelee: I grew up borrowing my mom’s Bain De Soleil every summer and I was so sad when they discontinued it. But Vacation Inc. to the rescue — this gives you a gorgeous suntanned glow and it smells… my god. If you ever smelled the OG Bain, you will *not* be disappointed.
Chanel No. 1 Skin Enhancer: The only thing I use for foundation; it gives you an absolutely perfect glow that is radiant without being sparkly at all.
Tower28 Making Waves Mascara: I have been absolutely loving the T28 Mascara in both the brown and the black; it packs a good punch but it’s still super comfortable and pairs well with lighter makeup.
Guerlain Bronzer: My MVP face bronzer; this is a classic for a reason. It gives the most natural glow, it’s completely mistake proof, and it has a signature scent that is so luxurious without being heady.
Chanel Les Beiges Blush: This is one of those products where it’s little pigment beads suspended in water and it leaves a long lasting and completely weightless tint on the face.
Kevyn Aucoin Eyeliner: KA recently relaunched their self sharpening liner with a finer point tip and a brush on the other end and it is practically mistake proof and perfect for both a quick minimal wing and a more dramatic look.
Westman Atelier Super Loaded Tinted Highlight: My hero product. Buy it in one color, buy it in every color. Use it on cheeks, eyes, as highlight as blush, as eye shadow. The silkiest formula, the most beautiful glowy shades. Worth every penny.
Tower28 OneLiner: This is such a creamy and smooth pencil liner, perfect for lips and eyes. But I’ve found my favorite use for it is as a super natural freckle pencil!
Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment: Very little I can say about this that hasn’t been said already but, it is the lip product I reach for most in the heat. It’s got great slip, it’s super comfortable, and the new shades are perfect for summer.
Sol De Janeiro 62, 68 & 71: Look, I want to be that super sophisticated girl who wears some niche fragrance from fucking, the South of France but I’m not. I like gourmand-y, Warm Vanilla Sugar, black raspberry type fragrances and I always come back to these. Also apparently they stock the Love Island Villas with them so I assume they’re good for attracting men as well (I wouldn’t know, would have to leave my house to find out!)
Megababe Powder Mini: Finally, I don’t go *anywhere* without this in my bag. When I’m sweaty and sticky, I dab a little under my arms, under my boobs, between my legs, you name it and it helps me feel fresh and dry.
